Amundi launches fifth private-debt fund with €200M first close
What's the deal? AmundiDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched Amundi Senior Private Debt V, its fifth-generation private-debt fund for institutional investors, with a first close of nearly €200 million. The fund provides senior secured financing to mid-sized companies with EBITDA ranging from €15 million to €50 million.
What's the endgame? It targets companies in sectors tied to the energy and digital transitions, as well as European sovereignty and competitiveness. The vintage aims for a gross return of 3-month EURIBOR plus 5% over the life of the fund.
How it's structured: Amundi Senior Private Debt V is a compartment of a Luxembourg SICAV-RAIF, marketed exclusively to institutional investors in France. Classified as Article 8 under the SFDR regulation, it invests through Sustainability-Linked Loans tied to environmental and social performance indicators.
Why it matters: "This fifth vintage builds on the continuity of a franchise that has demonstrated, throughout market cycles, its ability to build diversified and resilient portfolios," said Julien Paycha, head of corporate private debt and direct lending at Amundi. He added that capital raised has already begun to be deployed.
The signal: The launch lands in a crowded, well-funded market. European private-credit fundraising hit a record $69.6 billion in 2025, up 29% year over year, with giants such as Ares Capital Europe VI (€17.1 billion) and Eurazeo's seventh private-debt fund (€3.9 billion) closing above target. Against that backdrop, Amundi's significance will hinge on its final commitments and whether it tops the prior vintage.
