Davis Hill lands Rosemawr debt facility to scale commercial and community solar

What's the deal? Davis Hill Development (DHD), a distributed solar developer, owner, and operator, has secured a debt financing facility from Rosemawr Sustainable Infrastructure Management. The partnership closed in the second quarter and targets DHD's commercial, community solar, and battery storage projects.

What's the endgame? The capital gives DHD flexibility to accelerate development and acquisition across its pipeline. The facility is designed to help the company meet utility interconnection upgrade obligations and procure equipment, including expanding its inventory of safe-harbored gear for near- and medium-term deployment.

Why now? DHD has accelerated its growth over the past year, advancing new projects and building out its platform for long-term ownership and operations.

"This partnership gives us the financial flexibility to move faster, execute with greater certainty, and continue scaling our platform at a time when strong, well-capitalized developers have a meaningful advantage," said chief executive officer Matt Coleman.

"We are glad to be able to bring a flexible capital solution to DHD which can help support the company's continued growth," said Josh Herlands, managing partner at Rosemawr Sustainable.

The signal: Debt facilities tied to equipment procurement and interconnection costs are becoming a key lever for distributed solar developers racing to lock in projects. For DHD, securing institutional capital now positions it to move on opportunities that less-funded rivals may struggle to execute.
