What's the endgame? A sync marketplace is only useful if it can offer buyers a broad, licensable catalog with clear rights. The new label and publisher deals widen that selection, while the backing of recognizable music-industry names lends credibility as MAIA scales.
The signal: MAIA is entering a busy field, with platforms such as Lickd and Soundstripe serving creator demand and newer marketplaces building curated label catalogs. Automation and faster rights clearance are becoming central competitive themes — and MAIA's significance will hinge on how much catalog it onboards and whether it can win repeat buyers.
