Arifpay, Gebeya, AIT and EducationMatters launch ArifSchool, an integrated digital education platform for Ethiopia

The platform combines school management and e-learning (from AIT), digital fee collection, payroll and payments for learning materials (from Arifpay), generative AI learning and assessment tools from Gebeya's Dala Studios, and consulting and training support from EducationMatters.
Context The consortium soft-launched ArifSchool at Arifpay's headquarters on 26 May 2026, with introductory incentives for the first 100 schools in Addis Ababa and a wider rollout planned before the end of the school year. The partners say it supports the government's Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy. Arifpay was licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia as the country's first private payment switch operator in 2025.
