Shouchuang Holdings backs AI power-module maker Peiyuan in physical AI push

What's the deal? A fund under Hong Kong-listed Shouchuang HoldingsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (00697.HK) has invested in Shanghai Peiyuan ElectronicsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a maker of high-power-density integrated power modules for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) systems. The deal was announced in October 2026.

What does Peiyuan do? It builds complete power-supply solutions for AI compute chips, aiming to serve leading computing hubs. Peiyuan will use the funds to develop modular power systems and expand production lines, lifting power density and energy-conversion efficiency.

Why now? As AI compute demand grows and chip performance climbs, the power systems that keep high-performance computing running steadily are upgrading too. That raises the bar on power density, conversion efficiency, and reliability — making high-performance power supply a core part of AI compute infrastructure.

What's the endgame? The deal extends Shouchuang's reach from robotics and embodied-intelligence models toward the upstream infrastructure behind physical AI. Peiyuan's high-performance power segment sits between AI chips and compute infrastructure.

The signal: Shouchuang says it will keep tracking investment across compute, chips, data, models, hardware, and applications to round out its physical AI portfolio. The Peiyuan bet shows investors increasingly chasing the hardware plumbing of AI, not just the models.
