Array buys Hansa to push into business credit
What's the deal? Array, an embeddable fintech platform, has acquired HansaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a startup that furnishes business credit data and offers embedded credit tools. The deal value was undisclosed. The acquisition extends Array beyond consumer financial wellness into the small business and commercial credit market.
What's the endgame? Array wants to be a single destination where financial institutions and digital brands deliver both consumer and business credit tools to their users. Hansa adds business credit monitoring, data furnishing to commercial bureaus, and offer-based retargeting to that mix.
Why now? Both companies share an API-first, embedded delivery model, making integration straightforward. For Array, Hansa plugs a gap: letting partners offer businesses the same white-labeled credit experience consumers already get.
The rationale: Hansa's pitch is that business owners can finally build and track credit the way consumers have for years. "By making credit activity visible to both the business bureaus and the business owner, we ensure businesses are recognized for the credit they use," said founder and chief executive officer Henry Magun.
Array chief executive officer Martin Toha framed the fit as infrastructure. "Hansa has built exactly the kind of embedded, API-driven infrastructure that aligns with how we think about fueling financial security," he said.
The signal: Fintech consolidation is pushing embedded platforms to widen their product menus rather than specialise. By bolting business credit onto its existing consumer, identity, and privacy tools, Array is betting that partners want one vendor across both audiences — not many.
