The deal runs through a capital increase; the value, valuation, and exact size of the stake were not disclosed.

What's the endgame? fleXality builds AI-based control software through its fEnOMS platform, which connects refrigeration systems, battery storage units, and other flexible loads. Together with Contigo Energie AG and electricity trading specialist Impuls Energy Trading, it aims to build an integrated solution for industrial energy flexibility.

Why now? The target: helping mid-sized industrial companies cut energy costs through intelligent plant control and by seizing opportunities in the electricity market. The investment ties fleXality's technology more closely to energy procurement and trading.

"fleXality contributes intelligent control systems for flexible facilities, while our group of companies brings expertise in energy procurement, marketing, and financing," said Gerhard Gaedecke, chairman of the supervisory board of Contigo Energie Holding.
