The companies: CoinUs, founded in 2009, builds enterprise HR systems using SAP HR and SAP SuccessFactors, covering consulting, implementation, operation, and maintenance. Blueward — led by chief executive officer Jong-do Kim — is an SAP specialist whose predecessor, ISTNDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, acquired CoinUs in 2023. The subsidiary had continued operating as an independent HR brand until now.
What's the endgame? Blueward wants to link enterprise resource planning (ERP) and HR systems into a single end-to-end service. The WX division will handle HR system implementation, operation, and upgrades, drawing on CoinUs's 17 years of expertise.
The company plans to pair HR specialists with its existing SAP project teams, aiming to serve customers from initial system adoption through maintenance and feature improvements.
Who's in charge? Former CoinUs chief executive officer Jeon Tae-seok heads the WX division, overseeing HR business and operations. Existing customer relationships and project experience carry over to the new unit.
"This integration is not a full stop for CoinUs, but an expansion onto a larger stage for employee experience innovation and next-generation workforce management," Jeon said (translated from Korean).
The signal: By merging a standalone HR brand into its core SAP business, Blueward is betting that customers want ERP and HR delivered together rather than as separate contracts — consolidating specialist talent under one roof to compete on integrated enterprise software services.
