Humanly buys CareerArc in fifth deal since 2025, extending AI hiring push

What's the deal? Bellevue-based hiring technology company Humanly has acquired CareerArc for an undisclosed sum, merging its AI screening tools with software that helps employers attract applicants. The deal, announced in October, combines Humanly's automated chat and interview systems with CareerArc's social recruiting and career-site mapping platforms.

Who's who? Founded in 2018, Humanly builds software to automate candidate engagement, screening, and interviewing for high-volume employers. Founded in 2009, Burbank-based CareerArc sells recruitment marketing tools, including HireSocial, which automates job postings, and Job Maps, which lets candidates browse openings visually by location.

What's the endgame? Humanly wants to reach job seekers earlier in their search and connect the fragmented hiring stack. "High volume employers have had to piece together their hiring process with a collection of disconnected tools," co-founder and chief executive officer Prem Kumar said in a statement.

Why now? The deal caps an aggressive M&A streak. Humanly acquired employee engagement platform AnthillDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → earlier this year, following three recruiting tech buys in 2025: Sprockets, Qualifi, and HourWorkDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →.

By the numbers: Humanly raised $25 million in Series B funding in April, bringing its total to $52 million. It counts Microsoft, DominoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →'s, Massage Envy, Worldwide Flight Services, and MGM Resorts and Casinos among more than 120 customers. Nine of CareerArc's 13 employees are joining, taking Humanly's headcount to 50.

The signal: As AI reshapes hiring, vendors are racing to bundle recruitment marketing and automated screening into a single stack. Humanly's buying spree shows how consolidation is turning point tools into end-to-end platforms.
