Try Dealroom →'s push into on-device AI and strengthens its visual-perception capabilities.

What does Aipeke do? The company develops visual intelligence hardware, focusing on smart-home imaging systems, AI dashcams, and low-power AI cameras. A national-level "little giant" specialised-and-sophisticated enterprise, it sells products across multiple countries and holds full-chain research, design, and mass-production capabilities.

Where's the money going? The funds will back upgrades to Aipeke's AI products and technology, and support its move into hardware value-added services. That includes an APK smart cloud platform offering device-plus-cloud bundles and a subscription model aimed at lifting customer retention and lifetime value.

What's the endgame? KTC, listed under stock code 001308, brings more than three decades of display-terminal manufacturing across interactive panels, smart TVs, and professional displays. It plans to pair its hardware with Aipeke's vision systems to accelerate product reach in automotive, whole-home smart, and connected-living scenarios.

Why now? The deal lands as China pushes its "AI Plus" campaign, which calls for deeper integration of tech and industrial innovation. Visual perception sits at the core of on-device AI, enabling smart recognition, environmental sensing, and multimodal interaction.

The signal: The investment reflects a broader shift of AI from the cloud toward edge devices, where hardware makers are racing to own the sensing layer. By combining display manufacturing scale with specialised vision tech, KTC is betting that bundled hardware and software services will drive its next phase of growth.
