Try Dealroom →, a Bowie, Maryland provider of ecological restoration, compensatory mitigation, stormwater management, and environmental consulting services. Financial terms were not disclosed. What each side does: Godspeed is a lower middle-market private equity firm focused on defence and government services, solutions, and technology. GreenVest delivers environmental infrastructure projects — including wetland and stream mitigation, permitting, and nature-based resilience — across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States.
What's the endgame? GreenVest becomes Godspeed's foundational environmental platform. The firm plans to accelerate organic growth, invest in talent, and pursue acquisitions to expand GreenVest's geographic footprint, services, and customer base.
Why now? Godspeed is betting on rising demand for watershed protection, resilience investments, and nature-based solutions. "GreenVest is exceptionally well-positioned for both near- and long-term growth," said Doug Lake, Godspeed's founder and managing partner.
The signal: Godspeed sees "an attractive, fragmented market," in the words of partner James Reid, pointing to a sector ripe for consolidation. The deal marks private equity's push into environmental infrastructure, where tightening regulation is creating steady, mandated demand.
