What's the deal? Bytes Technology Group (BTG)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a UK software, security, AI and cloud services specialist, is acquiring CyberOneDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → for £19.4 million in cash. CyberOne is a UK cyber security services provider offering AI-enabled managed security, security operations, and cyber resilience consulting. The deal was announced October 13, 2026.
The terms: BTG funded the initial £19.4 million entirely from existing cash, with further contingent payments over the next 16 months tied to performance. Completion awaits clearance under the UK's National Security and Investment Act 2021, expected shortly.
Why now? CyberOne operates in the UK cyber security services market, projected to grow at double digits and reach roughly £5.2 billion by 2029. Founded in 2005, the London-headquartered firm has over 80 employees across the UK and the Philippines, and posted £9.5 million in revenue for the 12 months to July 31, 2026.
What's the endgame? CyberOne has built a strong position in the Microsoft security ecosystem, holding Microsoft Security Elite Partner status. BTG expects the acquisition to deepen customer relationships and lift service-led revenue across the combined base, and to be earnings-enhancing in the first full year of ownership.
CyberOne's leadership will join BTG, initially running the business as a standalone unit alongside BTG's sales teams.
What they said: "CyberOne is a strong strategic fit for BTG, enhancing our capabilities in a rapidly growing technology segment," said Sam Mudd, BTG chief executive officer. Founder and chief executive officer Dominic List added that joining BTG "gives us the scale and reach to take that expertise to more organisations."
The signal: As AI reshapes enterprise IT, demand for trusted security partners is climbing — and larger resellers are buying specialist capability rather than building it. BTG's move extends its reach across the cyber security lifecycle and bets on recurring, high-margin managed services as the next growth engine.
