Vesta Home hires 15-year RH veteran as chief creative officer

What's the deal? Vesta Home has appointed Michael Brown, a 15-year veteran of luxury furnishings brand RH, as its chief creative officer. He most recently served as senior vice president for RH Interior Design and will now develop Vesta Home's furniture collections and lead its luxury interior design division.

What does Vesta do? The company is a luxury home staging, interior design, and furnishing business. It completes roughly 2,500 projects annually across markets including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Palm Beach, San Francisco, and the Hamptons.

Who is Brown? At RH, he helped launch the company's embedded design offices and ateliers, its first standalone interior design studio in Palm Desert, and Bespoke RH Interior Design. Before RH, he co-founded Los Angeles design-build firm Custom LimeDealroom has a profile for this one. Why now? The hire comes as Vesta Home pushes beyond its staging roots into a broader design and furnishing platform. In 2025, it staged more than 5.2 million square feet of real estate, representing roughly $13.7 billion in value.

What's the endgame? Working with chief executive officer Julian Buckner, Brown will define the creative vision and build the collections. "We're inside thousands of homes, seeing firsthand what people respond to," Brown said, pointing to the staging business as an early window into how clients want to live.

Buckner framed the hire around Brown's dual track record. "He has a rare combination of creative instinct, operational savvy and an ability to turn ambitious ideas into scalable, profitable businesses," he said.

The signal: By poaching a senior leader from RH, one of the most influential names in luxury furnishings, Vesta Home signals its intent to compete as a design authority rather than a staging vendor — turning data from thousands of homes into its own furniture and design offering.
