What each side brings: Founded in 2012, Clinect runs an Outcomes Intelligence Platform that captures more than 600 validated outcome measures — including PROMIS, HOOS, KOOS, and VAS — across 50-plus practice management and EHR systems. Why now? Medical practices face mounting pressure to prove the value of care as payer expectations and reimbursement models shift. Clinect automates outcome collection inside existing provider workflows, aiming to cut administrative burden.
"Payer expectations, regulatory requirements and the reimbursement landscape have changed," said Brian Schmitz, founder and chief executive officer of Clinect. "We built Clinect to automate the collection of that information within the systems providers already use."
What's the endgame? Under Emergence's ownership, Clinect will expand investment in data science, AI, and interoperability, broaden its PM/EHR integrations, and accelerate product development for health systems and specialty practices.

The signal: As reimbursement increasingly hinges on demonstrated results, outcomes-measurement tools are becoming core business infrastructure for providers — and attractive targets for long-term capital betting on the shift.
