Capacity buys UK's Core Fulfilment to serve brands across both markets
What's the deal? Capacity LLC, a US fulfillment provider focused on beauty, fragrance, and wellness brands, has acquired a majority stake in Core FulfilmentDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a UK-based ecommerce fulfillment company. The deal, announced October 8, 2026, creates a single fulfillment partner operating across the US and UK. Terms were not disclosed.
Who's who? North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Capacity specializes in fast-growing consumer product companies. Core Fulfilment brings more than 15 years of experience serving personal care, household goods, and other consumer brands from its UK sites.
Why now? Cross-border fulfillment has grown harder for consumer brands as shipping costs rise and delivery windows shrink. For US brands shipping to UK customers, long delivery times are a disadvantage in a market that expects speed.
What's the endgame? "This is about building the unified fulfillment operation brands will need for the next phase of their growth," said Jeff Kaiden, chief executive officer of Capacity. US brands gain a UK foothold through Core's established operation and carrier relationships, while Core's customers get Capacity's warehouse technology and engineering-led operations.
What changes for customers? Nothing immediate. Core will keep operating from its UK sites under current leadership, with no changes to accounts, service teams, or daily operations.
For UK beauty and fragrance brands eyeing the US, the deal adds Capacity's DOT-SP 21015 hazmat permit — one of only 31 held by US fulfillment providers — which lets regulated products like fragrance and aerosols move through the US market.
What they're saying: "Partnering with Capacity means we can answer that with technology, engineering resources and scale that would have taken us much longer to build on our own," said Paul Burns, co-founder of Core Fulfilment.
The signal: The combined scale strengthens carrier leverage for both sides amid rising cross-border logistics costs. The deal reflects how consumer brands increasingly want one partner that can move them across borders without rebuilding infrastructure from scratch.
