Try Dealroom →, a US-based data consultancy specialising in financial services. The deal, announced October 7, 2026, adds 37 specialists across data strategy, governance, engineering, and cloud data platforms. Terms were not disclosed.

What does Continuus do? It works mainly with asset managers and other financial institutions, helping them build enterprise data strategies, set up governance frameworks, and deliver large-scale cloud data transformation programs.

Why now? Financial institutions are increasing investment in modern data infrastructure to meet regulatory requirements, improve decisions, and deploy AI more widely. As firms scale AI beyond experimentation, data quality, governance, and accessibility have grown more important.

What's the endgame? The deal strengthens Acuity's presence in the US, its largest market, and adds an onshore team to its global delivery network. Combining Continuus's expertise with Acuity's broader technology capabilities gives the group an end-to-end offering spanning data strategy, governance, analytics, operations, and AI-enabled workflows.

"What attracted us to Continuus was its deep understanding of financial services and its ability to turn data strategy into practical business outcomes for clients," said Rob King, chief executive officer of Acuity Analytics.

Chief delivery officer Stewart Smythe added: "Clients are making significant investments in cloud data platforms, but technology alone is not enough. Success depends on having the right operating model, governance framework and delivery expertise in place."

The signal: The acquisition continues Acuity's shift from a financial services research and analytics business into a technology-led organisation. It follows the 2024 purchase of PPA GroupDealroom has a profile for this one.
