Your.Cloud buys education-IT specialist SPEYK to deepen school sector reach
What's the deal? Dutch IT services provider Your.CloudDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired SPEYKDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Veenendaal-based specialist in digital learning and working environments. Financial terms were not disclosed. SPEYK, which marks its 25th year in 2026, builds secure IT setups for schools and also serves healthcare, government, and business clients.
What changes? For customers, nothing. SPEYK keeps its name, existing staff, and management, with chief executive officer Erwin Peters staying at the helm.
What's the endgame? The deal fits Your.Cloud's decentralised model, under which acquired IT firms keep their own identity and entrepreneurship while tapping the wider group's network, scale, and expertise. For SPEYK, that means added capacity in cybersecurity, cloud, and artificial intelligence (AI).
Why it matters. SPEYK takes a people-first approach, treating technology as a tool to support work and learning. In education, it looks at a school's full digital ecosystem, including change management, cybersecurity, and the digital skills of teachers and pupils.
"We deliberately sought a partner that respects and strengthens this vision and identity," said Peters. "SPEYK stays SPEYK, but we gain more room to invest in innovation and in developing our people and services." (translated from Dutch)
Harmen Dikkers, portfolio director at Your.Cloud, framed the deal as a strategic fit. "With SPEYK, we welcome an organisation that combines high-quality IT expertise with deep knowledge of education," he said. (translated from Dutch)
The signal: Your.Cloud's buy-and-build push reflects steady consolidation among Dutch managed service providers, where larger groups absorb niche specialists while leaving their brands intact to hold onto sector expertise and client trust.
