Quanfluence lands $10M to build full-stack photonic quantum computer

What's the endgame? Quanfluence is building a full-stack photonic quantum computer that combines photonic chips, control electronics, and software into a single system. It plans to develop and launch a four-qubit machine in the near term, then target a roughly 100-qubit prototype by 2029.

Why now? The raise follows a $2 million seed round in 2024, which Pi Ventures led. The fresh capital is meant to fund the company's hardware roadmap.

What could go wrong? Photonic quantum computing remains an early, unproven field, and the jump from four qubits to 100 by 2029 is a steep technical leap.

The signal: At $10 million, the round sits in the upper tier for an early-stage deal, a sign that investors are willing to back capital-intensive quantum hardware out of India.
