Invesport Partners takes stake in HumanFab to build European performance hubs
What's the deal? Invesport Partners has acquired a minority stake in HumanFabDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a French centre of expertise in human performance engineering, the newly launched investment firm announced on October 6, 2026. The deal, completed in September 2026, comes with a plan to build a network of regional performance hubs across France and Europe. Terms were undisclosed.
What each side brings: Founded in 2010 in Aix-en-Provence by Dr Jean-Bernard Fabre, HumanFab assembles doctors, physiotherapists, strength coaches, engineers, and researchers in a single 3,000m² site serving professional and amateur athletes. Invesport, itself just launched by five entrepreneurs from healthcare, finance, media, sport, and retail, brings expertise in governance and external growth plus a network of elite-athlete shareholders.
What's the endgame? HumanFab plans to replicate its model — scientific assessment, medical follow-up, and physical preparation — in new territories, strengthen its data-driven digital offering, and expand partnerships with clubs, federations, and manufacturers. Fabre remains principal shareholder and continues to lead the company.
Why now? Invesport argues professional sport lacks the infrastructure its spending implies. Clubs invest heavily in talent, but few own complete facilities covering assessment, recovery, and medical support — a gap it links to an estimated €3.45 billion in wages paid to unavailable players across Europe between 2020 and 2025.
Beyond athletes: HumanFab also runs an Industries business that scientifically evaluates products for sport, health, and mobility manufacturers — more than 500 projects, over 70 clients, and two patents — and works with employers to prevent musculoskeletal disorders.
What they're saying: "Invesport's arrival gives us the means to take a step up: to replicate our know-how in new territories while preserving the standards that define us," Fabre said. Co-founder and chief executive officer Rodolphe Besserve cited HumanFab's "scientific rigour" and a "model proven over more than fifteen years with elite athletes."
The signal: Invesport frames itself as a consolidation platform for Europe's fragmented sport and wellbeing sector, aiming to build "regional and European champions." The HumanFab stake is its first move to turn a single proven site into a replicable, data-led network — and a test of whether human performance can scale beyond the elite.
