Try Dealroom → Asset Management, marking its entry into Southeast Asia. The firm will rebrand Majoris as BlueFiveMajorisDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, pending approval from Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK). Financial terms were not disclosed.
The company: Established in 2015, Majoris is an OJK-licensed investment manager serving more than 700,000 retail customers and 50 institutional clients, focused on money market and fixed-income products. Its mutual fund assets under management stood at 3.9 trillion rupiah ($218 million) as of August 2026.
What's the endgame? BlueFive is entering through its Sharia-compliant platform, BlueFive786. The deal pairs Majoris' local distribution with BlueFive's international investor network and Sharia-compliant products.
Why Indonesia? Founder and chief executive officer Hazem Ben-Gacem said the country is strategic given its scale, domestic investor base, and demand for products that comply with Sharia principles. Sharia-compliant products account for about 10% of Indonesia's asset management market, according to BlueFive.
"We are pleased to partner with Majoris to position it as a key player in bridging the large Indonesian market with our international investor network and Sharia-compliant investment solutions," Ben-Gacem said in a statement.
Majoris founder Arsjad Rasjid framed the deal around local access. "For us, this is about creating better access to high-quality Sharia-compliant investment opportunities for Indonesian investors," he said.
The context: The investment follows an earlier BlueFive tie-up with Sriwijaya CapitalDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which Rasjid founded and chairs. In October 2025, Sriwijaya partnered with DanantaraDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and BlueFive on cross-border deals. The Majoris investment was announced separately, with no indication it ran through that partnership.
The signal: Gulf capital is deepening ties with Southeast Asia's largest economy, and Sharia-compliant finance is the bridge. By anchoring in a licensed manager with a wide retail base, BlueFive gets immediate distribution in a market where Islamic products remain a small but growing slice.
