The deal was announced October 6, 2026, from Wilmington, Delaware, and Ljubljana.

Who are they? Founded in Slovenia in 2013, Hooray Heroes has created more than three million personalized books for customers across the US, Europe, and Australia. Its catalogue covers birthdays, holidays, new babies, and other family milestones.

What's the endgame? PSG wants to build a leading independent global group of personalized publishing brands, while letting each keep its own identity. Hooray Heroes will continue under its existing name, with PSG planning to invest in new titles and expanded personalization.

Why now? PSG says it has recorded a second consecutive year of triple-digit growth as demand rises for personalized books and gifts. The acquisition adds Hooray Heroes' catalogue, international customer base, and strength in multi-character, family-focused products.

"Its strength in family-focused and multi-character storytelling is highly complementary to the books we have developed through Story Bug and My Story Tale," said Brendon Watson, chief executive officer of PSG.

Rado Daradan, co-founder and former chief executive officer of Hooray Heroes, said PSG's "commitment to preserving the Hooray Heroes brand, combined with its publishing capabilities and international reach, makes PSG the right home for the company's next chapter."

The signal: The deal reflects consolidation in personalized publishing, where a growing group gathers established independent brands onto a shared technology, publishing, and fulfilment platform — betting that scale and automation can turn a fragmented gifting niche into a durable global business.
