Try Dealroom →, an AI-focused software firm based in Errenteria, Spain, for an undisclosed sum. The deal, announced in October, adds more than 70 professionals and roughly €4.5 million in annual revenue to the acquirer.

What each side brings: Kuik is an "AI-first" company with more than 15 years of experience, combining custom software development, DevOps, and applied AI. The rationale: AyesaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Digital gains senior AI talent and deeper reach into the Basque industrial market, while Kuik gains scale and access to large accounts. "The operation responds to a logic of speed and specialisation rather than scale," said Manuel Baraza, who leads Ayesa Digital.

What changes? Ayesa plans to fold Kuik's capabilities into its AI-first strategy, putting AI at the core of operations, processes, and decision-making. The company says integration will be progressive to protect talent, client relationships, and Kuik's roots in the Basque tech ecosystem.

Kuik chief executive officer Félix Vela said the deal opens a new growth phase: "It allows us to take our software and AI capabilities to larger-scale projects, access large accounts." He added that the integration is designed to preserve Kuik's agility and senior talent. (translated from Spanish)

The signal: The acquisition reflects how larger IT services firms are buying specialised AI shops to add talent and real-world use cases quickly, rather than build them in-house.
