Try Dealroom → out of bankruptcy, with the transfer taking effect on October 5, 2026. The deal value was undisclosed. Future orders will run through Impecta's online store.
Why now? Wexthuset Sverige ABDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → was declared bankrupt on September 10 by the Södertörn District Court. From boom to bust: Wexthuset grew during the pandemic, reaching revenue of about US$7.37M in 2021. The market then turned as consumer purchasing power weakened, cutting sales of capital-intensive goods.
Its 2025 annual report showed revenue of 27.6 million kronor and a loss. Management tried cost cuts, halved rent, and bridge financing from owners, but the measures failed to cover the working capital shortfall, and the company filed for bankruptcy itself.
What changes for customers? The customer base transfers with the sale, and Impecta takes over future communications. Customers who do not want their personal data moved to the new owner were given the option to unsubscribe and have their information deleted.
Former chief executive officer Lena Ljungquist framed the handover as a careful choice. "It has been important to me that the business ends up in good hands, and I feel confident that it does now," she said in a message to customers (translated from Swedish). She described the two companies as sharing "our passion for growing and quality."
The signal: The acquisition shows consolidation in a niche market squeezed by weaker discretionary spending. A solvent rival absorbing a bankrupt peer's customers and brand is a low-cost way to grow share when the broader category is contracting.
