The facility lets it borrow against existing assets to speed up its pipeline while retaining ownership of operating projects.

Why now? Rising US power demand, grid modernisation, and electrification are pushing storage and renewables to the centre of energy strategy. Lydian says the financing strengthens its ability to capitalise on that demand and on renewable energy incentives.

The structure drew praise from both sides. "Infranity structured a bespoke solution that lets us leverage the value in our operating and construction-ready assets to accelerate the next stage of our pipeline," said Emre Ersenkal, chief executive officer of Lydian.

Infranity framed its backing around the portfolio's contracted projects and Lydian's execution record. The deal "is underpinned by a portfolio of high-quality contracted projects and a strong pipeline," said Sacha Kamp, global head of debt investment at Infranity.
