Aprio buys Denver's TGRP Solutions in fifth local deal

The acquisition takes effect October 1, 2026; terms were not disclosed. TGRP's 70-plus professionals join Aprio's Advisory practice.

What each firm does: Founded in 2010, TGRP offers Office of the CFO services, technical accounting, IPO readiness, transaction support, and staffing and recruiting. Aprio provides tax, audit, advisory, wealth, and legal services under one platform.

What's the endgame? The deal supports the formation of Aprio's Office of the CFO, which brings together its Accounting Advisory and Talent Advisory capabilities on one platform. The combined firm aims to deliver outsourced and fractional CFO services to clients nationally.

Why now? This is Aprio's fifth combination in the Denver market. It entered Colorado in July 2023 with Gomerdinger & Associates, added Pontiff + AssociatesDealroom has a profile for this one. Before this deal, Aprio had 35 team members across two Denver-area offices.

TGRP founder and president Mark Reister, managing director of consulting Jim Lockhart, and director of placement and contract solutions Doug Nassif join Aprio as partners. "By joining Aprio, we're expanding the opportunities available to our team while bringing clients access to a broader set of resources," Reister said.

The signal: The deal reflects accounting firms' push to bundle finance, talent, and advisory services under one roof as they consolidate regional players to build national platforms.
