Lazard launches quant-driven European equity fund

What's the deal? Lazard Asset ManagementDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched the Lazard European Equity Advantage Fund, a UCITS vehicle focused on quantitative management of European equities. The firm announced the launch in a statement.

What's the endgame? The fund gives investors access to Lazard AM's Equity Advantage platform. The platform's team, which runs the new fund, currently oversees $50.9 billion (€45.065 billion) across quantitative strategies worldwide.

The signal: "We believe that generating alpha consistently and in a disciplined manner is what contributes most to a positive client experience," said Jeremy Taylor, co-head for Europe at Lazard Asset Management. The launch extends a global quant platform into a dedicated European equity product.
