The Italian startup develops hardware components for advanced quantum atomic sensors. Its core technology centres on integrated atomic vapour cells — the "engine" behind magnetometers, atomic frequency references, and radio-frequency sensors.

What's the endgame? The capital will fund an in-house fab at the TecnoPolis science and technology park in Valenzano, Bari, expected to be operational by year-end. QSENSATO is also hiring across its technical, financial, and management teams.

Why now? The raise builds on a 2025 pre-seed round backed by LIFTT and Quantum ItaliaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. It adds Deep Ocean Capital as a new backer and brings a direct investment from Quantonation, an international fund focused on quantum technologies.

The company recently signed a research agreement with the National Institute of Metrological Research (INRiM)Dealroom has a profile for this one. It also won the Quantum Effects Award 2026 in the Quantum Sensors category, to be presented on October 6, 2026 in Stuttgart.

The signal: At €1 million, the round is modest by venture standards — a size that sits in the lower tier of comparable deals. But it reflects steady investor appetite for European quantum hardware startups working to turn lab-grade sensing into products that can be manufactured at scale.
