Hamco to launch tokenized Pan-Asia private equity fund with Chainlink, Synthesys

What's the deal? HAMCO ServicesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → on September 24, 2026, announced the Hamco Tokenized Pan-Asia Private Equity Fund, a native on-chain vehicle offering eligible investors fractionalized exposure to hard-to-reach private and pre-IPO opportunities across Asia. The firm is launching it in collaboration with ChainlinkDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → and Synthesys. The fund's size was not disclosed.

How it works: The semi-liquid, evergreen fund is set up as a native structure in the Cayman Islands and issued through Mint, which combines Chainlink's Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol, its Digital Transfer Agent standard, and NAVLink. Distribution runs through Synthesys Network's regulated channels from day one.

Where the money goes: The fund targets Pre-IPO positions, cornerstone and PIPE allocations, private credit, and direct unicorn investments across Pan-Asia, focusing on AI, semiconductors, and robotics. A liquid sleeve deploys into select listed companies, tokenized money market and credit funds, and stablecoins.

Why now? Asia's defining technology companies are staying private longer, meaning much of the value creation happens before they reach public exchanges. Private equity has delivered strong long-term returns but remained illiquid and hard to access, concentrated among a narrow group of institutions.

What's the endgame? Tokenized instruments that can be subscribed and redeemed on-chain with near-instant settlement act as the fund's liquidity engine, letting it meet redemption needs that traditional PE structures cannot.

"Private equity was the asset class tokenization supposedly couldn't do," said Darien Poh, chief executive officer of Synthesys. He added that the fund will be "live on Synthesys Network from day one, reaching global regulated channels across different jurisdictions."

The signal: Tokenization is moving from liquid instruments like money market funds into private markets, one of finance's least accessible corners. Hamco's chief executive officer Eddy Chow argued an evergreen, on-chain structure "enhances both operational efficiency and investor accessibility, without compromising the institutional governance and controls that define disciplined private equity" — a test of whether patient capital can trade natively on-chain.
