Its first product is Smart Crypto Fund SPDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a hedge fund for professional and qualified investors.
Who's behind it? The fund's strategy is developed and managed by Neuronomics AGDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a Swiss portfolio manager focused on AI and systematic investing. Valour supplies its institutional fund platform and digital asset infrastructure.
How it works: The fund uses proprietary AI models to adjust allocations across a regularly reviewed selection of liquid digital assets, rather than holding fixed exposure to a single cryptocurrency or static basket. It invests selectively when the balance of opportunity and risk looks favourable and cuts exposure when model signals weaken.
What's the endgame? The move pushes Valour beyond passive products into active management. It builds on the firm's range of more than 100 digital asset ETPs, which it says is more than any other digital asset manager globally.
Why it matters: "By combining Valour's digital asset infrastructure with Neuronomics' AI based systematic investment expertise, we can offer professional investors an actively managed strategy within an institutional fund framework," said Johan Wattenström, chief executive officer and chairman of DeFi Technologies.
The details: Smart Crypto Fund SP is the first portfolio of Valour Funds SPC, a Cayman Islands company registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority. Allocations stay subject to predefined risk budgets, limits on individual assets and concentration, and controls on overall market exposure.
The signal: The launch reflects a broader convergence of AI and crypto asset management, as issuers move from index-style exposure toward actively managed, model-driven strategies aimed at institutions.
