MyUnisoft buys abCSR to bring sustainability reporting to small firms
What's the deal? French accounting software firm MyUnisoftDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired abCSRDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a sustainability-reporting platform built for accounting firms. Terms were not disclosed. The deal, announced in September 2026, gives abCSR's 1,300 client firms tools to help small and mid-sized businesses meet environmental and social requirements.
What does abCSR do? Founded in 2016, it edits a corporate social responsibility (CSR) reporting platform designed from the start to be distributed by accounting firms. It draws on data firms already hold — accounting entries and social declarations — to automatically produce 60 CSR indicators, sparing companies long questionnaires.
Those indicators follow the ISO 26000 and VSME standards, adapted for micro-firms, small and mid-sized companies, larger enterprises, and associations. A firm can build a full CSR diagnosis for a 20-employee company in a few clicks, regardless of its accounting software.
Why now? July 2026 was the hottest month ever recorded in France since measurements began in 1900, averaging 24,9 °C — 3,8 °C above seasonal norms. A late-June heatwave lasted 14 days and placed 35 departments on red alert.
Regulation, meanwhile, has loosened. The European Union's Omnibus directive, adopted in February 2025, cut the number of companies required to publish sustainability reports. Many wrongly concluded the issue could wait.
What's the endgame? Demand has not faded, even as legal obligations narrow. Public authorities are starting to reward strong CSR performers in awarding contracts, large companies increasingly screen suppliers on these criteria, and banks and insurers now factor climate risk into financing decisions.
For a firm of 10 or 50 staff, answering these questions is no longer a matter of conviction — it is a condition of staying in the commercial race. The platform will be sold under a new name, MyU abCSR.
The tool is already used by several leading accounting firms, including FitecoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, ExponensDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, AFIGECDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, ORCOMDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, Axens, and RSMDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, which backed its development and will continue their engagement.
The signal: As formal reporting mandates shrink, market pressure is picking up the slack. The deal reflects a bet that CSR will become a routine service accountants sell to smaller clients, embedded in the data they already manage.
