What's the deal? LenovoDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → Ventures has invested in Getong Zhilian Technology, a Chinese integrated circuit startup, through the Shanghai Lenovo Future Venture Capital Partnership. The deal, disclosed via a September 2026 business filing, added the partnership as a shareholder and lifted the company's registered capital to US$16.9M.
What's the endgame? Founded in 2025, Getong Zhilian works across the chip stack. Its business scope spans integrated circuit manufacturing, chip and product manufacturing, chip design and services, and sales.
Why now? The investment comes as Lenovo shares climb, with its US-listed stock up 7.60% and Hong Kong-listed shares up 9.50% on the day of the disclosure.
The signal: Lenovo, the world's largest PC maker, is extending its venture arm deeper into China's domestic chip sector — a strategic bet on securing homegrown silicon supply.
