StrategyCorps buys Quantuma to bring AI agents to business banking

What's the deal? StrategyCorpsDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has acquired QuantumaDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI-native relationship solution for commercial and business banking, for an undisclosed sum. The deal, announced September 17, 2026, creates MonetizeIQ (MIQ) for Business Banking, an extension of StrategyCorps' existing platform.

What's the endgame? The product assigns each business customer, plus select prospects, a dedicated AI agent that works alongside a relationship manager. Each agent reads signals in a business's activity and surfaces specific revenue opportunities — a loan the client is ready for, or merchant services it pays a competitor to provide.

How it works: The platform runs on two building blocks. The first turns raw commercial transaction data into insight using fine-tuned large language models; the second orchestrates agents relationship by relationship. Built for financial institutions, it shows its work with a compliant audit trail so managers have a clear rationale to share with clients.

Why now? Demand to modernise business banking has accelerated. The share of small businesses seeking financing from online fintech lenders nearly doubled in five years, rising from 17% in 2020 to 29% in 2025, according to the Federal Reserve Banks' Small Business Credit Survey.

A single relationship manager often oversees more accounts than anyone can track, so growth signals slip and clients turn elsewhere for lending and other services. StrategyCorps says its approach scales to hundreds of thousands of agents, letting lean commercial teams pursue every opportunity.

What they said: "Bringing transaction intelligence to business banking is a difference maker," said Vince Bezemer, president of StrategyCorps. It "helps relationship bankers at community and regional institutions compete by spotting what their commercial clients need early, often before the client asks."

Quantuma co-founder Adnan Haider said the company was built "to help community institutions outcompete fintechs and the big banks by giving every business relationship the proactive attention it demands."

The signal: Community and regional banks are under pressure as fintechs capture a growing share of small-business lending. Deals like this show incumbents betting that AI agents — not just software — will be the tool that keeps relationship managers, and their clients, in-house. The extension rolls out to StrategyCorps clients and select prospects starting in the fourth quarter of 2026.
