Try Dealroom → company, has acquired JCM EngineeringDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, a precision manufacturer serving the aerospace, defence, commercial, and space markets. The deal was announced on September 15, 2026. Terms were not disclosed.
What does each side do? HTS specialises in precision aerospace components and assemblies, using 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC machining and multi-axis turning. JCM, based in Ontario, California, runs a nearly 140,000-square-foot facility with more than 40 CNC machines and holds AS9100 and ISO 9001 certifications.
Why now? The acquisition expands HTS's manufacturing envelope to include large-format, multi-axis machining for larger aerospace structures. JCM has supplied wing skins, spars, beams, and pylon components for OEM aerospace and defence programs.
What changes? JCM will eventually merge into HTS as a brand but stays a stand-alone operational centre in its current location with its existing technical team. The move also pushes HTS into Southern California, a major aerospace and defence manufacturing region.
"Their large-format machining capabilities and extensive defense experience complement our existing strengths and give us the ability to provide our customers a broader manufacturing solution," said Brent McConville, president of HTS.
The signal: The deal fits BTX Precision's strategy of building a scaled network of specialised manufacturers serving aerospace, defence, and other mission-critical markets. Consolidation among precision suppliers lets platforms share resources, customers, and expertise while broadening what they can build.
