Key West Network takes majority control of $1.4B Future Corporation

What changes? Chairman Yasufumi Kanemaru will sell 5,558,700 of his 11,117,400 shares to Key West Network, losing his status as a major shareholder. DANA POINT Corporation PTE. LTD., the sole shareholder of Key West Network, becomes an indirect parent, tightening control at the top.
The details: Key West Network's core businesses include leasing and managing real estate and holding and managing securities. As part of the reorganisation, it will convert from a godo kaisha into a stock company, reshaping governance around DANA POINT.
The signal: Future Corporation carries a market capitalisation of ¥214.3 billion, roughly $1.4 billion. The deal consolidates ownership under an investment-focused parent and marks a decisive shift in control for one of Tokyo's listed IT names.
