What's the money for? The investment will fund new test equipment, additional distribution locations, and an expanded load bank offering, plus upgrades to A-Rent's commercial and technology infrastructure.

Why now? "Growing power demand from data centers, grid modernization and electrification is increasing the need for testing across both new and existing infrastructure," said Will Breskman, a partner at Sagemount. A-Rent has built a foothold in the mission-critical market by supplying liquid-cooled load banks for data center testing and commissioning.

Expanding the map: A-Rent offers same-day pickup and next-day delivery from four US distribution facilities, with a fifth set to open in Hillsboro, Oregon, in late 2026. The move extends its national reach as it chases demand tied to power-hungry infrastructure.

What's the endgame? "Sagemount understands the standards our customers expect and shares our ambition for A-Rent's next chapter," said Seppanen, the company's founder and chief executive officer. Sagemount brings a track record across digital infrastructure and equipment leasing.
