The Dallas-based weather safety and operations platform will use the funds to build AI-powered features and add more than 50 roles through 2027.

What's the endgame? Perry Weather serves more than 3,000 organisations, from school districts and cities to construction firms, manufacturers, and professional sports leagues. Its on-site stations measure conditions where people work and play, then trigger automated sirens and phone alerts to enforce an organisation's weather policy — logging every alert and response to create a compliance record.

Why now? Weather safety is shifting from best practice to legal requirement. More than 20 state high school athletic associations now mandate wet bulb globe temperature monitoring, including Texas, where the University Interscholastic League's rule took effect in August.

The same shift is hitting workplaces: seven states enforce heat standards, more are in rulemaking, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has proposed the first federal heat injury and illness prevention standard.

Between the lines: The company works with 24 of the top 25 general contractors on ENR's Top 400 list and is expanding across manufacturing and energy, where weather drives operational disruption alongside safety risk. New hires at its Dallas headquarters will span software and hardware engineering, product, support, and services.

"Weather is getting more regulated and more disruptive every year, and the stakes are human lives," said Colin Perry, founder and chief executive officer. Sri Rao, managing partner at Silversmith Capital Partners, will join the company's board.

The signal: At $110 million, Perry Weather's round sits in the 91st percentile of US Series C security deals of all time, a sign investors see tightening heat regulation turning weather safety into a compliance market rather than a discretionary tool.
