Karamtara raises $28M from anchors ahead of $92M IPO

What's the deal? Karamtara Engineering, an Indian manufacturer of engineering steel products for the renewable energy and power transmission sectors, raised Rs 262.50 crore (about $28 million) from anchor investors on Tuesday. The allotment came a day before its Rs 875-crore IPO opens for subscription on September 9.

The details: The company allotted 1.03 crore equity shares to anchor investors at Rs 254 per share, the top of its price band, according to a BSE circular. That priced the anchor round at the upper end of the range.
