What changes? LegiNation will keep operating as an independent business, and Karen Suhaka, who created BillTrack50, stays on as president.
What's the endgame? Nimonik plans to fold BillTrack50's US legislative tracking into its global compliance platform, helping customers anticipate regulatory change. "By integrating BillTrack50's comprehensive US legislative tracking with Nimonik's global compliance platform, we are delivering unparalleled value to our customers," CEO and co-founder Jonathan Brun said.
Why now? The two firms have worked alongside each other for more than 10 years. Brun called the deal "a natural evolution of that shared history."
The signal: Compliance software vendors are broadening from standards management into legislative forecasting, betting that customers want a single tool to spot regulatory change before it lands.
