Stasinopoulos takes full control of Active Computer Systems, eyes Euronext Athens listing

What's the deal? Yannis Stasinopoulos, chairman and chief executive officer of Active Computer Systems, has acquired the remaining shares to become the Greek IT company's sole owner. He already held 50% and now controls 100%, unifying the ownership structure.

What's the endgame? Active plans to expand in cloud, cybersecurity, and managed services, targeting public and private sector projects as well as EU-funded programmes. The consolidated structure is meant to speed up execution of that strategy.

Why now? The move is tied to a longer-term goal: listing on the EN.A. Growth market of Euronext AthensDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →. Active says clean ownership and stronger governance are prerequisites for that step.

By the numbers: The company has already secured an approved €14 million plan co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aimed at modernising infrastructure and digitising internal operations.

"Active is not just an investment. It is the business I envisioned, built, and deeply believe in," Stasinopoulos said (translated from Greek). He described the purchase as an expression of confidence in the team and the strategy.

The signal: The deal reflects a broader push among Greek technology firms to strengthen capital bases and governance ahead of public listings, using EU recovery funds to finance digital expansion.
