What does it do? Founded two years ago by Enrique Rivas, Sebastián Sánchez, Diego Aponte, and Alejandro Fariña, Fina began as an admin platform that centralised inventory, sales, and finances for SMEs. Now it wants to become an ecosystem of financial products built around small business owners.

By the numbers: Fina says it serves more than 5,000 businesses and has reached $2 million in annual recurring revenue. A new vertical launched three months ago is growing 2x month over month, according to the company.

What's the money for? Fina plans to launch several financial products and AI-driven tools over the next six months and to accelerate its newest vertical. The founders say they are aiming beyond $10–20 million in ARR toward building one of the country's largest tech companies and eventually expanding across Latin America.

Why now? Rivas said the round was oversubscribed, which he reads as a sign that investors are "beginning to look at Venezuela from a different perspective" (translated from Spanish). For Fina, the raise is a chance to show high-growth tech companies can be built in the country and attract international capital.

The signal: The $1 million round is modest by global standards, sitting in the lower tier of seed deals. But the appetite for a Venezuela-based fintech suggests venture capital is cautiously returning to a market it had largely written off.
