Jacob Bank returns to Google to lead Chrome product

Bank said the move reflects his long-standing focus on building tools that help people get more done with AI without sacrificing personal creativity or insight. He highlighted Chrome’s role as a primary productivity workspace, its open access to web applications and sites, and its potential as a place for people to collaborate with AI agents.

He added that the Chrome team has ambitious plans for helping people work with AI in the browser and invited feedback, ideas and bug reports.
