Stratum Industries launches AI agents for government workflows
What’s the deal? Stratum IndustriesDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → has launched as a YC S26 company building AI agents for the slow, complex manual processes that governments run. The company is starting with application review, where permits, licences, patents, drug approvals and benefits claims are often assessed one file at a time, leaving large queues unresolved.
How it works: A reviewer uploads an application and selects the relevant rubric. Stratum’s agent plans the review, works through the file end to end, checks each requirement and routes individual steps to the appropriate model. A human approves every outcome, while the workflow is designed to remain fully auditable. The company says hundreds of agents can run in parallel, allowing agencies to clear a backlog in the time previously required to review a single application.
What’s next: Stratum says application review is its first workflow, with a broader mission to integrate AI across government verticals, including reviews, approvals, filings and claims. The company was founded by brothers Vihaan (VJ)Dealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, its CTO and a former founding engineer at Cadastral, and RajDealroom has a profile for this one.
