Battery Ventures backs Vetspire, installs new CEO

What's the deal? VetspireDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom →, an AI operating system for veterinary practices, has raised a growth equity round led by Battery Ventures, a global technology-focused investment firm. The San Francisco company will operate as a standalone business and use the funds to accelerate product and AI development. Its technology is in use at more than 800 pet hospitals and clinics.

What does Vetspire do? Its practice management system unifies medical records, scheduling, billing, inventory, and client communications on one platform. AI is embedded throughout, including scribe functionality, patient summarisation, and clinical-assistant tools that cut administrative work.

The new hire. Healthcare-software executive Zachary Seely has joined Vetspire as chief executive officer, working alongside President Joe Mazzarella. "As an independent company, we'll continue investing in the platform, particularly in AI," he said.
