Aditya Birla Sun Life launches two long-short funds as India IPO bids roll in

How they differ: The Apex Equity Long Short Fund seeks diversified equity exposure with the flexibility to dynamically adjust net equity exposure to changing market conditions. The Ex-Top 100 version bets that the next generation of market leaders is emerging beyond India's 100 largest companies by market capitalisation.

The breakdown: Non-institutional investors subscribed 1.09 times, the retail quota was booked 74%, and qualified institutional buyers took up 6%.

One more: Supply chain asset pooling firm LEAP India's IPO reached 49% subscription on its second day, drawing bids for 56,211,154 shares against 114,991,735 on offer.

The signal: New fund structures and a steady flow of IPO subscriptions point to active demand in India's equity markets, spread across new investment products and public listings.
