New fund

Index Ventures raises $2B in fresh capital, lifting total to $3.5B across seed, venture and growth

What's the deal? Index Ventures has raised $2 billion in new capital — a $400 million seed fund, a $900 million venture fund, and a $700 million top-up to its growth fund — lifting its total investing capital to $3.5 billion across all stages, the firm announced.

The details: The growth vehicle now stands at $2.2 billion, upsized from Index's $1.5 billion 2024 fund with the additional $700 million. The firm said it will back founders from first check through to the public markets.

Why now? The raise coincides with Index's 30th anniversary. AI is "accelerating the time from idea to product," the firm said, opening industries from cybersecurity to fintech, healthcare, and consumer to disruption.

What's the endgame? Index plans to keep investing across what it calls the "ten-hour time zone that runs from Tel Aviv to San Francisco." Its past bets include Wiz, Robinhood, Figma, Revolut, Datadog, Adyen, Scale, and Roblox.

The signal: As AI reshapes how companies are built, Index is stocking up at every stage — seed, venture, and growth — to back founders building from scratch or reworking existing companies for what it calls an "AI-first era."

The data behind this story

Index Ventures funds raised since 2012

The $3.5bn is $400m of seed plus $900m of venture plus $2.2bn of growth. The growth pool combines the $1.5bn fund raised in 2024 with a new $700m top-up, so the capital newly raised in 2026 is $2bn — the seventh fundraise since 2012, and about $12bn of new capital across all of them.
