Fusion Klassroom sets price band for Rs 39.04 crore SME IPO
What's the deal? Fusion Klassroom Edutech on Thursday fixed a price band of Rs 151-159 per share for its Rs 39.04 crore (about $4 million) initial public offering. The SME issue opens on July 31 and closes on August 4, with anchor investor bidding scheduled for July 30.
What's inside the offer? The IPO combines a fresh issue of up to 19.89 lakh equity shares with an offer for sale of up to 4.65 lakh shares by promoters and investors.
What's the endgame? Net proceeds from the fresh issue will go towards repaying debt and building out the company's technology stack. That includes spending on AI/ML model development, servers, cloud infrastructure, and content.
The company also plans to procure desktops and laptops for AI/ML labs at new offline centres — a signal it intends to expand its physical footprint alongside its digital tools.
The signal: The listing lands on India's SME platform rather than the main board, a route smaller companies increasingly use to raise growth capital and gain public-market visibility. For an edtech firm leaning into AI infrastructure, the offering ties its funding directly to the technology bets shaping the sector.
