Perk opens Middle East HQ in Abu Dhabi with ADIO
Perk (formerly TravelPerk) has opened its Middle East headquarters in Abu Dhabi, in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Investment OfficeDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → (ADIO).
Co-founder and CEO Avi MeirDealroom has a profile for this one. Try Dealroom → announced the opening, marking the business-travel and spend-management platform's expansion into the Middle East. The company said the UAE has become one of its most important markets since it welcomed its first local customers in 2021, pointing to a UAE business-travel market projected to reach $94bn by 2030, much of it still managed on disconnected tools and manual processes.
Perk framed the move as a long-term commitment, citing the UAE's national AI strategy — which targets 20% of non-oil GDP from AI by 2031 — as a fit for its AI-native platform.
The expansion follows Perk's rebrand from TravelPerk after passing $300m ARR and broadening its scope from corporate travel booking into expense, invoice and spend management. The Barcelona-founded company has also secured a $300m credit facility to fund continued global growth.
