Cursor tops $4B annualized revenue

Cursor (Anysphere) has surpassed $4 billion in annualised revenue as of early June 2026, according to a person familiar with the matter. The run-rate is up from $3 billion in late April 2026 and $2 billion in February 2026. Around 75% of the run-rate now comes from enterprise customers — about $2.6 billion in annualised business-to-business revenue — with the enterprise business reported to have tripled in Q1 2026 versus Q4 2025. The acceleration was attributed in part to the February 2026 launch of Cursor's Cloud Agents tool.

In June 2026, Cursor also chose London as its European headquarters, planning to hire around 200 EMEA staff by year-end (up from 70–80 today) and to open smaller offices in Paris, Munich, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Stockholm. SVP for EMEA Ismail Elmas cited London's deep, multilingual talent pool and rising demand from regulated industries to keep data within the region. European clients already include British Airways, BP, Nokia and Sanofi.

The milestone comes as Cursor prepares for an expected acquisition by Elon Musk's SpaceX following the rocket company's planned IPO, under a deal giving SpaceX an option to buy Cursor for $60 billion later in 2026 (or pay $10 billion for the partnership), alongside access to SpaceX's Colossus supercomputer for model training. Cursor, founded in 2022 by four MIT friends, continues to grow despite intensifying competition from GitHub Copilot, OpenAI and Google in the AI coding market.
