Try Dealroom → into a 14,000-machine network sold to Coca-Cola, is back with a new venture: Unity Coffee . His latest move aims to shake up the UK’s coffee-to-go market with a blend of automation, fintech, and premium coffee at what he calls “fairer prices.”

Unity Coffee’s model centers on smart, Swiss-engineered machines paired with blends from a master roaster. The product line spans espresso, specialty drinks, matcha, hot chocolate, and both dairy and plant-based milk options. Customers interact through a mobile app that powers ordering, payments, personalized promotions, loyalty rewards, and even dynamic pricing — a combination designed to bring flexibility and engagement that traditional vending formats struggle to match.

Backed by hospitality and retail investors, the company plans to roll out 500 stations over the next two years , starting with retail and travel hubs in September 2025. The ambition is clear: to capture consumers frustrated by what Martin describes as an overpriced, stagnant coffee-to-go market, and to re-create the kind of scale he achieved with his previous ventures.

Execution, however, will be the test. Unity enters a crowded field dominated by established operators and high consumer expectations. Reliability of machines, consistency of drink quality, and the real impact of its “fair pricing” promise will determine whether Unity becomes another landmark in Martin’s career — or just a challenger in a market already rich with choice.
