Judi Health: From Capital Rx to a $400M-Backed Health Benefits Platform

Eight years after its founding, Capital Rx is entering a new chapter. The company, long known for managing pharmacy benefits through software that aims to cut costs and improve transparency, has raised $400 million in a round led by Wellington Management and General Catalyst, with Goldman Sachs and B Capital also participating. About $252 million of this comes from a Series F, with additional commitments expected later in 2025. The funding round values the company at $3.25 billion .

Along with the financing, the startup has rebranded as Judi Health , signaling an evolution from pharmacy-focused software to a more comprehensive health benefits platform. Its proprietary JUDI™ platform integrates medical and pharmacy data, giving employers and health plans a clearer picture of costs and care outcomes. In an industry where U.S. healthcare costs are projected to rise nearly 9% next year and patient outcomes continue to stagnate, transparency and data-driven insights are increasingly rare—and increasingly valuable.

Judi Health’s journey illustrates a broader trend: software-driven startups are moving beyond narrow niches to tackle systemic inefficiencies in healthcare. By combining AI-powered insights with an expanded platform, Judi Health positions itself as a tool not just for pharmacy savings, but for the broader challenge of making health benefits more predictable, transparent, and effective.
